Independent legal engineering
Big firms have engineers checking their AI. Most practices don't.
600 Lab builds practical tools for the risks solo and small-firm lawyers actually face: fabricated citations, hidden prompts, and confidentiality leaks. Tools are designed and built to order for solo practitioners, small firms, and in-house counsel. Quoted per project, in advance.
Services
What 600 Lab builds.
The studio accepts commissions for the design and construction of legal technology. Representative categories include:
- Citation and authority verification systems.
- AI-use disclosure and compliance instruments.
- Document review and workflow automation.
- Custom applications for solo practitioners, small firms, and in-house counsel.
Each project is scoped and quoted in advance. 600 Lab does not provide legal advice or accept legal matters.
How a Project Works
Three steps.
- Describe the need.
- Receive a written scope and quote.
- The build and handover.
About
Jennifer Holliday, Founder
Artificial intelligence is changing the practice of law faster than the profession can adapt.
When conventional methods of service proved inadequate, Jennifer persuaded a California court to accept service of process by NFT airdrop, in what the court treated as a matter of first impression.¹ That approach, the application of new technology to enduring legal problems, is the foundation of 600 Lab.
Member, State Bar of California. Admitted before the Central District of California, the Ninth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. B.A., summa cum laude, UCLA. J.D., Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. Certificate in AI, Justice and the Law, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
She builds the tools she uses in her own practice and makes them available to other members of the profession.
¹ Morton v. SpyIRL.com, No. 21STCV14008 (Cal. Super. Ct. L.A. County Oct. 31, 2022) (minute order accepting service by NFT airdrop). An unpublished trial-court ruling; it is not binding precedent. Outcomes depend on the facts and law of each matter.
